There's a Reason They Call It COMFORT Food

This is what I had for lunch today. There's this great soul food spot right next to our apartment, and a friend from South Jersey was visiting—so there we went. We like to take out-of-town guests there because it's quintessentially Harlem, unapologetically gluttonous and unquestionably delicious. Some people say "Chicken AND Waffles? I don't get it." But everyone, and I mean, everyone, changes their mind once they've sampled it. When you come visit, we'll take you there.

So, two step backwards on the Tapan Family challenge, but one glorious step forward on stomach satisfaction. Yummm.
